Synopsis

In the far reaches of the Andoryn Galaxy, a young drifter named Faro Besh from the agrarian moon Tillsward inherits a mysterious Resonance Core from his aging uncle Bilan — a crystalline artifact of terrifying power, capable of bending spacetime and rewriting the consciousness of entire civilizations. The Core was originally engineered by the vanished Overlord Malgath, whose fractured consciousness still pulses within it, seeking a host willing to surrender to its influence. The elder technomancer Gandul reveals that the Core must be unmade in the gravitational singularity of the black hole Keldrath's Maw — the only place where its resonant frequency will collapse permanently. Faro is joined by a ragged fellowship: his devoted shipmate and mechanic Samris, two impulsive pilot brothers Marro and Pip, the exiled heir to the Gondaran Republic Aravel, the rogue mercenary Gimrak, the ethereal navigator Legara, and the conflicted soldier Borvenne. Together they flee the Malgath Remnant Empire — a vast military apparatus that hunts the Core relentlessly, believing it their instrument of restored dominion. Their journey carries them through dying star systems, betrayed outposts, and shattered asteroid fortresses. The fellowship fractures under pressure: Aravel must reclaim his republic's crumbling capital from Remnant siege fleets, while Faro and Samris press alone toward Keldrath's Maw, guided and tormented by Gollax, a broken salvager consumed by centuries of Core exposure. Massive fleet battles erupt across sector after sector. Malgath's resurrection looms as Faro's will weakens. Ultimately, a single act of loyalty at the edge of a black hole determines whether the galaxy falls into perpetual darkness or endures.
