Synopsis

In the aftermath of a war the gods were never meant to lose, the world has fractured into shadow. The twelve Olympians are imprisoned within the Tartarean Vault — a labyrinthine prison forged from the bones of the world itself, buried beneath Mount Othrys, which now rises triumphant where Olympus once gleamed. Kronos rules with absolute dominion, and his Titan siblings govern the continents like iron-fisted wardens. Humanity, stripped of divine protection, has descended into fearful obedience. Demigods are declared abominations — hunted by the Titan enforcers known as the Hollow Wardens, soldiers empowered by primordial ichor. Seven survivors of the fallen Camp Half-Blood scatter across a blighted America. Among them is Cael, seventeen-year-old son of Poseidon, who has spent two years hiding his identity beneath a fisherman's alias in a flooded New Orleans. When a dying Oracle tattoos a fractured prophecy onto his skin — one that speaks of a divine key hidden across five lost sanctuaries — Cael is forced out of hiding. He assembles an unlikely fellowship: a daughter of Athena whose brilliance borders on dangerous arrogance, a son of Hephaestus who builds weapons from broken gods' relics, a satyr turned insurgent, and a girl with no claimed parent whose power frightens even the Titans. Their journey across a remapped, mythologically scarred America is a race against Kronos's tightening grip. Each sanctuary they unlock bleeds memories of the imprisoned gods into the world. But the deeper they go, the more Cael suspects the prophecy was never written to free the gods — it was written to replace them.
