The headline called her uncompromising. The first paragraph used the word necessary. The fourth paragraph—the one she read three times—described her original composition as arriving like a system that had decided to become a language, and noted, in passing, that the structural tension in the second movement created an effect of deliberately withheld resolution: intimate, controlled, demanding patience from its audience in the manner of someone who has decided you are worth the difficulty.
