Synopsis

London, 2045. Retired military surgeon Dr. James Weston, recovering from neural injuries sustained during the Kabul Drone Corridor conflict, takes a consulting position with the Met through an old colleague. He's paired with Detective Sheridan Holmes, a brilliant but deliberately analog investigator who refuses neural implants and insists on working alongside AXIOM rather than beneath it. Their partnership begins when a man is found dead in an abandoned carbon-scrubbing facility in East London — no wounds, no toxins, yet clearly murdered. Scrawled across a cracked screen in what appears to be blood: CONSEQUENCE. AXIOM immediately flags three suspects for preemptive detainment. But Holmes notices something wrong: the AI's prediction model has been fed manipulated data. As Weston documents their investigation in his personal memoir-feed, Holmes unravels a conspiracy rooted not in London but in the Nevada Covenant Communities of 2031 — isolated techno-theocratic settlements where a powerful corporate patriarch destroyed lives and buried secrets.
